ABBEVILLE — Jasey Roy had 11 kills and an assist to help the Highland Baptist Lady Bears rebound from Monday’s loss to Beau Chene with a 25-20, 25-12, 25-13 non-district volleyball sweep of Abbeville to improve to 7-8 on the season.
Bri Sensley had 17 assists, a dig and six aces for the Lady Bears. Mia Mitchell added seven aces, five kills and a dig; Marin Barras had six kills; Molly Touchet finished with four assists and Isabelle Breaux had six digs and four aces.
Individual statistics for Abbeville (6-8) were not available.
Highland returns to action Monday when it plays host to Westgate.
Catholic High 3, Franklin 0
FRANKLIN — Madison Bienvenu had 10 kills and three aces as Catholic High opened Division IV, District 2 play with a 25-13, 25-10, 25-11 sweep of Franklin Monday.
Abigail Richthofen had six kills and three aces; Oakley Guillotte added four kills and 12 aces and Hana Maturin finished with two kills and a block. The Lady Panthers improved to 10-8 overall and 1-0 in district.
Anna Angelle had 13 assists and Anna Gonsoulin finished with seven assists for CHS. Individual statistics for Franklin (2-12, 0-1) were not available.

NATCHITOCHES — The ESA Lady Falcons claimed the championship of the North/South Challenge held over the weekend at Natchitoches Central High School.
ESA beat Ruston High (25-18, 25-15); Northwood (25-8, 25-10) and Parkway (25-13, 25-8) in pool play before taking care of Many in the quarterfinals (25-13, 25-8) Academy of Our Lady in the semifinals (25-18, 25-20) and host Natchitoches Central in the title match (25-15, 25-12) to run its record to 15-2 overall.
Senior Taylore Louviere was named tournament MVP and Hailie and Kailie Williams were named to the All-Tournament team.
Louviere finished the tournament with 32 kills, 32 assists, 24 digs and three aces; Kailie Williams had 35 kills, five aces, eight digs and three blocks and Hailie Williams finished with 38 kills, two aces and 12 digs.
