LAFAYETTE — A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Louis Joseph Faucheaux Jr. will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Milton, with Fr. William Schambough officiating. Interment will be at St. Anne’s Mausoleum at a later date.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 8 a.m. until time of service.

A native of Jeanerette and a resident of Youngsville, Mr. Faucheaux was a successful human resource director in the manufacturing industries for many years. He proudly served eleven years with the Army National Guard. Mr. Louis loved playing golf, riding his Harley and woodworking. Over the years he had become an avid baker, his specialties included delicious cinnamon rolls and muffins.

Mr. Faucheaux is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy Holbrook Faucheaux of Youngsville; three daughters Kelley Salerno and husband, Paul, of Largo, Florida, Amy Casey and her husband, Matthew, of Columbus, Ohio and Katy Faucheaux of Youngsville; eight grandchildren Norman, Paul, Victor, Jackson, William, Carson, Charlotte and Landry; a brother Wayne Faucheaux; two sisters Marie Pipkin and Corinne Westmoreland.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis J. Faucheaux Sr. and Verda Lancon Faucheaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be friends and family.

The family would like to give special thanks to the oncology staff of Lafayette Medical Center, Dr. Michael Cain and his nurse practitioner Allison Bertrand, The Carpenter House and St. Joseph Hospice.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers you please make donations on his behalf to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
