Knight wins Shelter’s raffle

The Iberia Homeless Shelter showcased its annual fundraising raffle with a public drawing Friday. The fundraising event raises money for the shelter’s many projects. New Iberia Mayor Freddie DeCourt drew the winning ticket Friday afternoon at KANE AM-1240 in downtown New Iberia. The winner of the raffle was Tracy Knight of Breaux Bridge. The raffle is for the LSU vs. Alabama game on Nov. 3, a matchup that has taken on national overtones as it will be between two teams currently ranked in the Top 5 in the AP Top 25. The package includes two prime seats, a parking pass, a one night hotel stay and a $100 gift card.
