JEANERETTE — The Jeanerette City Marshal’s Office made an arrest after receiving a complaint of a black man with a gun on Oct. 19.
After investigating the complaint, marshals contacted Robert Parker, 36, of Berwick, and eventually discovered Parker had an active warrant out of Patterson for attempted second-degree murder.
Jeanerette Elementary School and St. Charles Elementary School were placed on lockdown at the time.
Parker had been at-large since February. He is being processed, booked and will be taken to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center.
