The first College Football Playoff Rankings were unveield on Tuesday night. No surprise at the top as undefeated, and reigning national champion, Alabama (8-0) was ranked No. 1 with undefeated Clemson (8-0) at No. 2.

The surprise came at No. 3 as the committee, selected LSU (7-1) over undefeated Notre Dame (8-0) who came in at No. 4.

The two teams right on the outside of the top four were Michigan (7-1), and Georgia (7-1). The rest of the top 10 is Oklahoma (7-1), Washington State (7-1), Kentucky (7-1), and Ohio State (7-1).

The highest Group of Five team is undefeated UCF who comes in at No. 12.

Next week’s rankings will be shaken up as not only does No. 1 Alabama play at No. 3 LSU, but No. 6 Georgia and No. 9 Kentucky face off.
