Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred “Red” Edwards Sr. of Jeanerette celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday, November 15, 2018. The couple celebrated with family at a restaurant dinner party.

The couple have 13 children, Darrell Edwards, Harold Edwards and Sanford Edwards Sr., all of New Iberia; Sandra E. Lockett, Veronica Edwards, Patricia E. Sereal, Keith Edwards and Latonya Edwards, all of Jeanerette; Kenneth Edwards of Arlington, Texas; Wilfred Edwards Jr. of Marrero, Terrence Edwards of Pearland, Texas; and the late Peterson Edwards III and Sonya Edwards. They also have 45 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Edwards is the former Delores “Betty” Mathews.
