Steve R. Duhon Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Steve R. Duhon Sr., 65, who passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018, in Port Allen.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home.

A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Duhon was born on October 15, 1953, to the late Minos and Marie Segura Duhon. He worked as a deckhand on tugboats and his hobbies included horses and going to the casino.

Survivors include his daughter Shelly Duhon Carter and husband, Keithon, of St. Martinville; son Steve Duhon Jr. of New Iberia; sisters Shirley D. Romero and husband, Donald J. Romero Sr., of New Iberia and Amanda G. Duhon of New Iberia; brother Jeffery J. Duhon of New Iberia; half-brother Dalton Duhon of Port Allen; grandchildren Steve Duhon III, Dylan Duhon, Cody Wardlaw, Chelsea Duhon and Erica Boutte; step-grandchildren Jayden Carter and Kayden Carter; great-grandchildren Levi Duhon, Zachary Touchet and Madelynn Theriot.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Glen Duhon, David Duhon, Bobby Duhon, Russell Duhon and Ricky Duhon.
