The New Iberia Police Department is seeking a 17-year-old as a suspect in two separate shootings that occurred Sunday night.

According to police reports, investigators are looking for Jarason Provost on charges of attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm and two counts of aggravated criminal damage to property.

Police say the two shootings occurred within minutes of one another. One scene was located in the 900 block of Anderson Street. The second occurred near the intersection of St. Jude Avenue and Daigre Street.

One person was injured in the incidents.

Police say Provost should be considered armed and dangerous.
