Larry Charles

A Home-going celebration will be held for Mr. Larry Charles, 91, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Adam W. Curley, officiating.

He will await the resurrection at Saint Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will begin on Saturday at the funeral home 8 a.m. until the time of the service.

A native and resident of New Iberia, he passed at 12:50 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018, at Belle Teche Nursing and Rehab Center.

Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons Steve Charles (Catherine) of New Iberia and William Charles (Shirley) of New Iberia; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Walker Charles; one daughter Arline Charles Cerf; and several brothers and sisters.

Active Pallbearers are immediate family members.

Honorary Pallbearers are immediate family members.
