New Iberia Garden Club Garden of the Month

The New Iberia Garden Club has awarded Garden of the Month for January, 2019, to Dr. Joseph Wilson of Keys for Sober Living located at 132 West St. Peter Street (formerly Abdallas Department Store). Wilson has transformed the former rear parking area into a gorgeous “container grown” garden. Planted among the extra large jar containers are pineapple guava trees, along with sweet potato vines, colorful portulacas, foxtail ferns, blush pink nandinas, sunset blanket flowers, mixed pentas, vincas, variegated flax lilies and beautiful double red knockout roses. Many of his flower selections attract butterflies and hummingbirds. The New Iberia Garden Club is a member of the Louisiana Garden Club Federation, District III.
