The work was submitted by Dixie Electric Inc., and consisted of electrical repairs to the pavilion.

In other business, the council will vote to rename Shot Street in New Iberia to Chene Arbre Way. The name change comes after Councilman Marlon Lewis proposed renaming the street after meeting with residents of the neighborhood.

The recommendation was approved by the New Iberia Planning and Zoning Commission.

The council will also vote on a resolution rejecting all bids received from the LaMats reverse auction for a four wheel drive backhoe for the Wastewater Department.

A resolution to declare the vacant position of New Iberia City Marshal is on the agenda as well. The resolution will also call for a special election to fill the position.

The council will vote to approve a recommendation of final approval to re-subdivide property belonging to Big Blue Holdings located at 1833 E. Main St. into two separate tracts.

Finally, the council will vote on an introductory ordinance to amend the budget to account for the receipt payment of the Red Dot History Tour and New Iberia Main Street grants received by the city.

The meeting takes place 5:30 p.m. today at New Iberia City Hall.
