Kadasha K. Vital

A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Kadasha Kira Vital, 27, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Gilmore, officiating.

She will await the resurrection in St. Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at the funeral home 8 a.m. until the time of the service.

Kadasha completed her formal education via the schools of Iberia Parish and graduated in 2009 from Westgate High School. She continued to further her education and thereafter, began working at Iberia Manor North, where she remained employed for 6 years.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her two beautiful daughters, Kadance Jones and Kalaney Jones; mother and stepfather Delanda Vital-Gabriel and Robert Gabriel; two sisters, Kionne Gabriel and Keyonna Gabriel; one stepbrother, Hakien Gabriel; six stepsisters, Ayanna Gabriel, Demetrice Norbert (Brian), Jeré Norbert, Lakindra Norbert, Brianna Jackson and Chalinda Fusilier; paternal grandmother, Ethel Mae Reed-Norbert; a special friend and father of her children, Clarence “Klank” Jones; aunts and uncles Barbara Vital-Norbert (Donald), Allison Thibodeaux (Willie Lewis), Tiffany Reedom (Henry Hawks), Danielle Reedom, Fallon Reedom (Jeremy Lewis), Monique Norbert-Lewis, Sarah Gabriel, Linda Lancilin, Wilton Vital, Christopher Vital (Stephanie Polodore), Jeremy Vital (Kendra), Edgar Reed (Teresa), Ronald Norbert (Lylsses-Pena), Carl Norbert (Lois), Roger Gabriel, Arthur Gabriel and Irvin Gabriel; godparents Barbara Vital-Norbert and Donald Norbert; three godchildren, Carter Londo, Keily Londo and Kahy’Kane Mitchell; and other survivors, including a host of cousins, childhood and high school friends, nieces, nephews, coworkers and classmates of Westgate High School Class of 2009.

Kadasha was preceded in death by her father, Leonard “T-Clyde” Norbert Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Evola “Boochie” Vital and Wilton Walker; paternal grandfather, Leonard Norbert Sr.; step-paternal grandparents, Augustine Gabriel and Milton Davis; maternal great-grandparents, Willie Reedom and Dessie Davis-Reedom, Mable Walker-Jones and Leroy Jones and Carlton Brannon; paternal great-grandparents, Clarence Reed and Corella Reed and Melvin Norbert and Mary Archangel-Norbert; four uncles Ralph Vital Jr., Richard Vital, Jomaine Vital  and Bryan Reedom; one aunt Norma F. Vital.

Active pallbearers are Roger Gabriel, Henry Hawks, Eric Tillman, Willie Lewis, Joseph Clement, James Hogan, Christopher Vital and Jeremy Vital.

Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Jones, Robert Gabriel, Wilton Vital, Carter Londo, Jeremy Lewis, Donald Norbert, Ronald Norbert, Carl Norbert, Edgar Reed, Hykein Gabriel, Arthur Gabriel and Irvin Gabriel.
