Shannon Galley Breaux

YOUNGSVILLE — Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Shannon Galley Breaux, 50, who passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at her Youngsville home.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. 

Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the officiant. 

A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. 

Shannon Lee Galley Breaux was born on October 3, 1968, to Nolan and Army Romero Galley. She was a longtime resident of Coteau, and a 1986 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She married the love of her life, Al, in 1995. Shannon was a Registered Nurse, having worked at several area hospitals. She enjoyed taking care of her patients and always put them first. Shannon loved her pets and had a passion for plants. She was a member of the Sundowner’s African Violet Club and she also grew and sold Elephant Ears. Shannon was a loving wife, sister and friend and will be deeply missed.

Shannon is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Al Breaux; sisters Stacey Galley Vincent of Coteau and Summer Galley of Coteau; sisters-in-law Phyllis (Carroll) Boutte, Brenda (Nolan) Gaspard and Alida Morton; brother-in-law Wilder (Susie) Breaux; fur babies Onyx, Izzy and Moquato; and her parents. 

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Adonis and Solange Reaux Romero; mother-in-law Isabelle Leonard Breaux; father-in-law Wilder “Beno” J. Breaux; brothers-in-law Dennis and David Breaux; sisters-in-law Laura McClain and Anna Rawlins; and fur babies Jolie and Chubauka. 

Pallbearers will be Stacey Galley Vincent, Summer Galley, Ryan Jennings, Chad Breaux, Nolan Gaspard and Evan Morton.

Honorary Pallbearers are Nola Vincent, Norman Hebert III, Richard David, Aron Vincent and Julien Vincent.
