Mrs. Andrew William Larkin

Allison Michelle Scurria and Andrew William Larkin were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony during a Nuptial Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in New Orleans Saturday, January 26, 2019.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Phillip Joseph Scurria of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Ms. Patricia Palmer Larkin of River Ridge and the late Mr. Richard William Larkin.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a stunning dress by Essense of Australia. Silver lace and regency organza over satin combined to create a classic fit and flare silhouette adorned with sparkling beadwork. The dress also featured a cameo illusion lace back with fabric covered buttons. To complete her look, the bride chose a cathedral length veil trimmed with beading and a touch of pearls to give a look of classic elegance. For her bouquet, the bride carried a hand-tied arrangement of champagne roses, burgundy ranunculus, eucalyptus and white hydrangea.

The bridal party included matrons of honor, Laura Scurria Miller and Karen Scurria Shannon, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Alison Larkin Asprodites, sister of the groom, Mary Catherine Ayo, Erin Borel Verret, Rebecca Wassell Genovese, Rachel Sander Bankhead and Sarah Katelyn Lawson, friends of the bride. Corinne Palmer Asprodites, niece of the groom, served as the flower girl. Ring bearer was Henry Miller, nephew of the bride.

The groom’s party included Best Men Nicholas Raziano and Jeffery Frederick. Groomsmen were Francis Asprodites, brother in-law of the groom, Adam Ducoing, Saade Bou-Mikael, Robert Johns, Jayson deLeaumont and Johnathan Smith, friends of the groom. Serving as ushers were Anthony Scurria and Stephen Scurria, brothers of the bride; along with Cody Aucoin and Brent Jeansonne, friends of the groom.

On the Thursday evening prior to the wedding, the groom’s mother hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner at Ralph’s on the Park in New Orleans, LA.

The wedding party and guests followed a jazz band in a second line parade from St. Patrick’s Church to the reception at Tomas Bistro where the celebration continued.

Following a honeymoon trip to Antigua, the couple will reside in River Ridge.
