The legislature in the state of New York just reviewed their law in reference to abortion. See New York Senate law S240.

Under the new legislation it is now legal in New York State to kill the baby up until the time of planned birth and if the baby survives the abortion, as it happens sometimes, he or she has lost the right to be protected and taken care of. At this time, he or she can be killed or left to die from thirst, starvation or cold.

There is a provision related to the health of the mother, but it is vague, allowing for interpretation and the provision requiring for an independent physician to be present to take care of the infant in case of survival, has been removed from the law.

This is legislation equal to what the Third Reich did in Germany. It is cruel and barbaric, at the same level of savagery as what terrorists, such as Al Qaida or Isis do.

Also, the murderer does not need to be a doctor anymore, making it now more possible for practitioners to set up businesses with this loose regulation. (Back alley abortion)

There are no specific instructions on the method of killing either. Would it be poisoning, dismembering or sucking the brain of the baby? I hesitated to describe those graphic procedures, but if we are becoming so insensitive as to close our eyes on this cruelty, I believe that we need to wake up.

The worst criminals in this country get more rights and protection than it is given to those innocent creatures.

Any decent human being, regardless of their political or religious affiliation or no religion, should be revolted by such legislative move.

This trend is repulsive and I fear the next steps in this disrespect for life.
