The Iberia Parish Library, the Friends of the Library, Sir Speedy and The Daily Iberian are sponsoring the 21st Annual Bookmark Contest for children in preschool through grade six for the 2019 Summer Reading Challenge.

Prizes will be awarded in groups for preschool, grades K and 1, grades 2 and 3 and grades 4, 5 and 6.

Judges will base their decisions on three criteria — originality, design and work that reflects the summer reading theme of “A Universe of Stories.” Winning entries will be announced in The Daily Iberian.

First- and second-place winners in all categories will be reproduced in full color by Sir Speedy and distributed at all locations of the Iberia Parish Library. First-, second- and third-place winners will receive an official 2019 Summer Reading bag with goodies, t-shirt and certificate. Honorable mentions will receive a certificate and gift bag. Children may drop their entries off any time prior to Saturday, April 27 at any branch of the Iberia Parish Library.
