St. Martin Parish School Board hires Blanchard as superintendent

ST. MARTINVILLE — The St. Martin Parish School Board voted to hire Allen Blanchard Jr. as the new superintendent for the school system at Wednesday night’s board meeting.

Blanchard took over the position in an interim capacity after former Superintendent Lottie Beebe was terminated last year.

Blanchard is an Arnaudville resident and a 1986 graduate of Breaux Bridge High School. Blanchard also attended UL-Lafayette, LSU and Southern University. He has served as a director of Human Resources, Operations and Transportation for the St. Martin Parish School District as well.

His career experience also includes serving as assistant  principal and principal at Cecilia Junior High School and assistant principal at Carencro Middle School.
