Castille Orphe

ST. MARTINVILLE — Services will be conducted for Mrs. Castille Orphe, age 85, former Fontenette at 11 a.m. on March 29, 2019, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Michael Sucharski SVD officiating.

Interment will be in the Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church from 7 a.m. until the time of service.

A native of Loreauville, has been of St. Martinville for 69 Years. She passed on Friday, March 22, 2019. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son Leo Christopher Orphe; two daughters Tracy Orphe Turpeau and Terry Orphe; one brother Floyd Herman; three sisters Margaret, Prenella and Elaine Fontenette. She’s also survived by eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Richard and Pearlie Fontenette; daughter Joyce Soloman; husband Leo Orphe; six brothers Toni, Robert, Whitney, Merlin, Peter and Perry Fontenette; five sisters Mable, Marjorie, Alberta and Shirley Fontenette.

Pallbearers will be Arman Turpeau, Raymond Allen, D’Toneo Solomon, Tyrone Mitchell, George Solomon Jr. and Jarrod Durand.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Leo C. Orphe, Lance C. Orphe, Ferdinard Arceneaux, Javon Turpeau, Sebastian Turpeau and Jaylen Turpeau.

The Golden Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
