Feel It All
By Alyse Young
Wherever you stream music
Alyse Young started taking guitar lessons at 7 years old and started gigging around Acadiana at age 14. In that time her age in proportion to her talents has astonished her audiences. The March release her new EP “Feel It All” it is evident that Young (now a student at UL) is still talented beyond her years. The songs on the album are folky, airy and most importantly they showcase Young’s unique barefoot soulful sound.

In honor of crawfish season, we’re revisiting a 2010 classic. The documentary by folklorist Conni Castille takes a look at the juxtaposition of crawfish culture. It examines the spirit of the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival and the struggle fishermen experience daily to retain their way of life. It’s a look at Cajun values – language, music, dance and food – and it all revolves around King Crawfish.
