Harold F. Butler Jr.

A Home-going celebration will be held for Mr. Harold Francis “Mother” Butler Jr., 70, at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. James Broussard officiating.

Interment will be private.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service.

A resident of Lafayette and native of New Iberia, he passed at 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory his stepfather Dennis Johnny Williams of New Iberia; two brothers, Allen Williams (Claudette) of Baton Rouge and Michael Williams of New Iberia; two sisters, Brenda Williams and Lillie Williams Hill (Elston), both of New Iberia; two godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Francis Butler Sr. and Lillie Mae Lewis Williams; nephews Ricky Allen Richard Jr. and Marley Jones; maternal grandfather, Sanford Lewis; maternal grandmother, Lorena Dominque; and niece/godchild Contessa Jones.
