Upon meeting Ethan, it’s immediately clear that he does not love to sit still. While he is incredibly polite and good natured, not to mention funny, it is obvious that he would much rather be outdoors with his father (and little sister who you will meet on page #) or on the baseball field.

What’s your favorite subject? I like social studies because you get to learn about cool parts of history. I like learning about the battles and all of the different tactics they would use. ADD
As an honor roll students, why is it important to you to make good grades? It’s important to me to get into a good school. I’m usually on the Principal’s List.
What’s your favorite sport? Baseball is my favorite sport. You learn teamwork and how to play the game. I’ve been playing since I started T-ball. I play first and second base. I went to LSU Baseball Camp last year and I’m going again this year.

You organized a wiffle ball tournament at school last year. What inspired you to do that? I wanted to get more kids to play, so we could have a big tournament. It’s fun when you can work your way up to a championship.
Are you a pretty avid outdoorsmen? I’ve been hunting and fishing since I was two years old. I was 8 years old when I killed my first deer – it was a spike. Hunting deer and pigs are my favorite. The first pig I killed weighed 250 pounds. It was twice my size!
Do you think other kids should hunt and fish? Yes, because it’s good bonding time with your parents.
What is your dream job? I want to be a professional baseball player. I want to go play for LSU in college and then I want to play for the Houston Astros.
Who is your role model? I look up to my dad because he’s taught me how to hunt and fish. He’s always been my sports coach. The most important lesson he taught me was to always be early.
