Grand jury indicts man for murder

Lunden Toussaint, 19, was indicted by a grand jury on the charge of principal to second degree murder Friday.

The charge has to do with the death of Braylen Foulcard. Foulcard died on Oct. 23, 2016, when the Franklin Police Department received a complaint of shots fired in the area of Augustin Maze Road.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Foulcard dead at the scene. He was a West St. Mary High School student who resided in the Jeanerette/Four Corners area.

According to the Franklin Police Department, investigators received additional information pertaining to the homicide in December of 2018, and presented the findings to the grand jury in the 16th Judicial Court in St. Mary Parish.
