Gregory Tiffin Vedrines

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted for Gregory Tiffin Vedrines, age 55, at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Garrett Savoie officiating.

Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday with a Rosary being led by the Men’s Rosary Group at 6 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday until service time.

A native of Shreveport and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Vedrines passed away at 4:23 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Vedrines, affectionately known as Tiffin to his beloved family and friends, was an all-around good guy with a big heart. He was employed at Halliburton for the last 28 years. On his time off he enjoyed spending time outdoors, motorcycle riding, fishing and barbecuing for his family. He will be missed by his family and dear friends.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Romero Vedrines; daughter Tiffani Ann Vedrines; two sons, Wyatt Vedrines and Kalem Romero; and two grandchildren, Makenzi Romero and Valerie Romero, all of New Iberia; two sisters, Laura Begnaud and husband Joey and Jane McLean and husband Eddie; and two brothers, Chris Vedrines and wife Cheryl and Ted Vedrines and wife Emma.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Autin Vedrines; father and stepmother, Richard and Shirley Vedrines; brother Timothy Ray Vedrines; beloved family member Borgia Ray; and paternal grandparents, Richard and Ethel Broussard Vedrines.

Pallbearers will be Wyatt Vedrines, Kalem Romero, Ted Vedrines, Chris Vedrines, Eddie McLean, Steve O’Brien, Randall Thibodeaux and Cole Vedrines.
