Leading the Summer Reading program with Bookmark Winners

Published 6:45 am Sunday, May 26, 2019

Excitement is building as the Iberia Parish Library staff and volunteers prepare for the annual carnival to kick off the summer reading program. This year’s theme,”A Universe of Stories,” was captured in art submissions from close to 500 applicants. The first and second place winners are above and their printed bookmarks will be available to pick up at all Iberia Parish Libraries, while supplies last.

“We’re doing something new this year,” said Amy Bernard, Children’s Librarian at the Main Branch. “We’re doing an obstacle course at the Carnival. It will all be very safe for 3-year-olds and older plus face painting and lots of things. We even have Vulcan ears for the children.”
