Manor, Romero tops in BBC

FRANKLIN — Brad Romero’s winning streak helped Johnny Manor stay atop the point standings in the Bullet Bass Club.

Romero, Manor’s guest partner for a bass club tournament June 9 out of Fairfax Foster Bailey Memorial Boat Landing,  was on the winning team for his fifth straight bass tournament outing after taking another boat ride to Sandy Cove in Lake Fausse Pointe. 

Manor set the pace and put some nice bass in the boat as they culled to a five-fish limit weighing 14.17 pounds, including the biggest bass of the day, a 3.81-pounder.

Ben Suit and Mike Sinitiere finished a distant second with a limit weighing 8.65 pounds. 

Most Popular

John Gordon, fishing alone, also had five bass for 6.05 to finish third in the 10-boat field.

Manor’s 670 points lead the way in the 23-member bass club. The runner-up spot through seven tournaments is held by Cleo McGlorie with 585.
