A man was arrested by the New Iberia Police Department following the execution of a search warrant and the discovery of drugs and a suspected stolen rifle.

According to a prepared statement, Jalynn Archangel, 24, was arrested after narcotics agents searched in the 500 block of Verna Lane and found suspected marijuana, xanax, tramadol and oxycodone.

The residence search also revealed a stolen AR-15 rifle, which was reported stolen to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Archangel was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
