Wildy Reaux

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Wildy Junior Reaux, 65, who passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019, in New Iberia.

Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home.

Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Reaux was born on August 29, 1953 to the late Wildy Joseph Reaux and Hazel LaPointe Reaux. He worked in the oilfield all of his life, and had a passion for refurbishing antique cars.

“Junior” also enjoyed tinkering with various projects from carpentry to landscaping, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Crystal Romero and companion David Bouillion of New Iberia and Mystie Morvant and husband Robert of New Iberia; brothers Jeff Reaux and wife Pam of Lydia and William Reaux and wife Miriam of Lydia; sisters Linda Boutte of New Iberia and Sharlena Jacquneaux and husband Merland of Arnaudville; grandchildren, Cody Romero and wife Kristen, Lindsey McDonald and husband Jon, Sydnie Whitman and Kenzi Whitman; mother-in-law Audrey Meyer of New Iberia; and his good friend Cindy Leleux of New Iberia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Sharon Meyer Reaux; son, Derrick James Reaux; and father-in-law, Benjamin Meyer Sr.

Pallbearers will be Cody Romero, Merland Jacquneaux, Dale McLean, John Gordon, Carroll “Poppa” Boutte and Jeromy Reaux.

Honorary pallbearers include Bobby Broussard, Larry Segura, and Jeff Reaux.
