Catherine Dugas and Brodie LeJeune were married Friday, June 7, 2019, during a Catholic Mass at 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loreauville.
The bride is the daughter of Joel and Fran Dugas of Loreauville. The groom is the son of Marty LeJeune and Rachele LeJeune of New Iberia.
The matrimonial mass celebrant was Rev. Barry Crochet and concelebrants were Rev. Pat Broussard and Rev. Paul Ogneube. Acolytes for the Mass were Riley Maturin, seminarian for the Diocese of Lafayette, and Joshua Burch, seminarian for the Diocese of Alexandria.
The bride was escorted by her father and wore an ivory-colored satin gown with the bodice covered in lace appliqué. The sash and veil were embellished with jewels and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses, ranunculus, and gerber daisies.
Serving as maid of honor was Emmalea Dugas, the bride’s sister, and the matron of honor was Amanda Williams Dugas, her sister-in-law. Bridesmaids were Emily D. Hulin, Caroline Stewart, Anne-Michelle Oubre, Samantha Roy, Alexandra Dillon-Bourque and Linzee LeJeune, sister of the groom. Ink-blue evening gowns in four different styles were worn by the bride’s attendants and they carried a bouquet of ranunculus, gerber daisies and eucalyptus.
The junior bridesmaid was Erin Hebert and the flower girls were Isabella Menard, Madison Dugas and Kayelee Dugas. The ring bearer was Gryffin Sandage.
The grooms best men were Nicholas Broussard and Colin Sandoz. Groomsmen were Jake Dugas, Matthew Dugas, John Dugas, brothers of the Bride, and Brennon Blanchard. Ushers were Steven Stewart and Zachary LeJeune.
Musicians for the matrimoninal mass were Jeanne Stiles and Gannon Dooley.
The couple spent their honeymoon on a cruise to the Florida Keys and The Bahamas. They will reside in New Iberia.
