Shaq gets sworn in as a reserve deputy. 

Legendary basketball player and American icon Shaquille O’Neal was sworn in as a St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s special reserve deputy. 

O’Neal visited the SMSO while Sheriff Becket Breaux was out of the office on annual training, according to a social media post.

The SMSO thanked O’Neal for his kindness, support and encouragement he provided to the deputies. 

“It was very much appreciated,” according to the post.
