A Saturday morning car accident led to a brief detour in traffic at the intersection of Main and Lewis streets. 

Traffic was diverted on one lane of Lewis Street as the New Iberia Police Department and Acadian Ambulance responded to the scene. 

The incident happened around 11 a.m. 

 The New Iberia Police Department was not available for more information.
