The city of New Iberia is urging drivers to stay off any flooded streets to avoid flood water from being pushed into residences and businesses. 

According to a prepared statement, more rain is forecasted for this afternoon. The city urges drivers to stay safe, avoid getting on the roads if at all possible until flood waters subside.
