As an Iberia Parish resident I would like to thank Sheriff Tommy Romero, his deputies and his trustees for cleaning up litter along our roadsides—even in south Louisiana’s terrible midsummer heat and also amid the pandemic, too, no less.

I believe Sheriff Romero understands that the appearance of our roadsides directly impacts our quality of life, civic pride, property values and tourism revenue, as well as our ability to attract and retain businesses and residents.

His initiative in cleaning up Iberia Parish’s roadsides is a laudable example for other civic leaders and all civic-minded residents.
