Iberia, St. Martin voters to decide millage renewal, school representatives

The turnout for early voting was greater than Iberia Parish Registrar of Voters Kristie D. Blanchard was expecting, she said in a prepared statement on the last day for early voting for the Nov. 13 election.

The total for the seven seven days for in-person early voting was 1,189 and for mail ballots it was 1,056, a total of 2,245 early ballots cast.

Blanchard said voters still have time to turn in their mail ballots. The final day for mail-in absntee ballots will be Friday.

All 37 polling locations will be open on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
