Members of the Downtown Neighborhood Association came out to paint a local resident’s house on Ann Street during the weekend. 

New Iberia Councilwoman Deedy Johnson-Reid said members of the association worked together to paint the home as part of a larger initiative to revitalize the area. The president of the group is Bryson Hypolite. 

The Downtown Neighborhood Association is having po-boy sale this Saturday to raise money for more work in the community. The fundraiser takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 1300 block of Ann Street. It will include a barbecue sausage po-boy, a back of chips and a coke for $8
