The Iberia Cultural Resources Association’s “Sounds of the Season” concert delighted Teche Area residents Sunday with familiar Christmas songs at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

The free concert had the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra playing a variety of tunes Sunday that ranged from classic Christmas songs like “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” to songs from “Swan Lake.”

The concert was the last of the year from the ICRA, which provides musical entertainment throughout the year.

The other free concerts each year include “A Prelude to Spring,” “Symphony Sunday in the Park” and “Stars and Stripes.”

The 13th annual celebration had a packed house at St. Peter’s Catholic Church full of eager event-goers who were ready to listen to high quality Christmas music in advance of the holiday season.

After the concert, a Patrons Party was held for symphony patrons at the home of Jeff and Margaret Simon. The party was a way for the ICRA to thank those who help support the organization’s work of providing free musical events throughout the year to the Iberia Parish community.
