Dorothy Miguez Goutierrez

DELCAMBRE — A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Dorothy “Dot” Miguez Goutierrez, 85, at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Fr. Andre Metrejean officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.

Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m. on Sunday. The funeral home will reopen on Monday at 8 a.m. until service time.

Dot was born on April 6, 1936, in Delcambre to the late Antime and Marie Broussard Miguez. She was one of seven children born to that union.

Dot passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at her residence at the age of 85.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Tina Goutierrez Landry and husband Rodney; two grandsons, Brody Landry and Lee Landry and wife Marcy; three great-grandchildren, Lila Landry, Ruby Landry and Jack Landry; and her siblings Flo Barras, Melba Dooley, Mary LeMiare, Lester Migues and Jimmy Migues.

Along with her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her husband Leewood “Bee” Goutierrez and one sister Jane Guidry.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.
