NICC to authorize certificates of substantial completion for 2 park improvement projects

The New Iberia City Council will vote to finalize several city projects at Tuesday’s council meeting.
A resolution to authorize a certificate of substantial completion for the Santiago Park improvements project is on the agenda. The resolution will approve the work done by Planet Recess for park improvements in the area.
Another resolution of substantial completion for the East 1st Street Park improvements project will also be voted on, which is being done by Planet Recess as well.
In other business, the council will approve a supplemental intergovernmental agreement between Iberia Parish Sewerage District No. 1 and the city of New Iberia for an engineering analysis for the Effluent Plant water tank at the Tete Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The analysis will include recommendations, procurement and installation of the tank if approved.
The council also will vote to approve a contract for professional engineering services with M& E Consulting for upgrades to electrical conduits and wires to aerators and lighting at Tete Bayou.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at New Iberia City Hall.
