Vice President Kamala Harris is planning a trip to Lafayette on Friday, The Daily Advertiser reports.

News of this trip was confirmed by members of Louisiana’s congressional delegation to the USA Today Network on Friday, Feb. 18.

Republican Acadiana Congressman Clay Higgins told the USA Today Network that his office was notified of the trip on Friday morning, but that he didn’t have details as of Friday. Higgins noted he will be out of the country and unable to greet Harris.
