The Reverend Willie Roman Jr., 80, a resident and native of Jeanerette, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia.

Visitation will be observed from 9 a.m. until funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the St. Mark Baptist Church, 2414 Fourth Street, Jeanerette, LA 70544. Burial will follow funeral services in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette.

Memories of Reverend Roman will forever remain in the hearts of his three sons, Jeffrey (Cherise) Roman of Franklin, James (Christine) of Jeanerette and Darius Roman od Atlanta, Georgia; siblings Lawrence (Carletta) Roman of Lathrop, California, and Debera K. Morman of Riverview, Florida; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Reverend Roman was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Roman; parents Willie Roman Sr. and Arthine Roman; a son, Kenneth Roman; and his siblings Charles A. Roman, Eddie A. Roman, C. Alfred Roman, Frank Nicholas Sr., E. Ray Roman, Willie Mae Roman Vicks and Myrna Fondal.
