Roulaison rum

The Barrel-Aged Reserve Rum by Roulaison Distilling Co. has won a 2022 Good Food Award, placing in the south region.

The rum is aged in casks that originally held bourbon, rye, brandy and single malt. It’s put in barrels at a maximum of 110 proof to extract less bitter oak tannin and mature with more complexity.

Made in New Orleans, Roulaison rum uses local ingredients and distills in small batches. The owners are two old friends who decided to “push the creative limits” when they set out to make a new, American-made craft rum.

The Good Food Foundation celebrates makers who create tasty and responsibly made food. To win, crafters must top the charts in a blind tasting and meet environmental and social responsibility standards.
