Health education event for girls aged 13 and older

The Louisiana Department of Health and the Woman’s Foundation Inc. is hosting a free education event for girls ages 13 and older. The event is titled “Birds, Bees & STDs” and will cover topics such as anatomy, consensual decisions, healthy relationships, STD prevention, STD symptoms, and STD testing.

Get out and Fish!

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is stocking its 17 “Get Out and Fish!” sites across the state with adult-sized catfish, beginning this coming week. To view the full stocking schedule and to find the nearest location, visit www.wlf.la.gov/gof. Anglers ages 16 years and older must possess a Louisiana fishing license when fishing in ay Louisiana public waters. Licenses are available for purchase online at https://louisianaoutdoors.com/licenses-and-permits.
