Health education event for girls aged 13 and older
The Louisiana Department of Health and the Woman’s Foundation Inc. is hosting a free education event for girls ages 13 and older. The event is titled “Birds, Bees & STDs” and will cover topics such as anatomy, consensual decisions, healthy relationships, STD prevention, STD symptoms, and STD testing.

Get out and Fish!
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is stocking its 17 “Get Out and Fish!” sites across the state with adult-sized catfish, beginning this week. To view the full stocking schedule and to find the nearest location, visit www.wlf.la.gov/gof. Anglers ages 16 years and older must possess a Louisiana fishing license when fishing in ay Louisiana public waters. Licenses are available for purchase online at https://louisianaoutdoors.com/licenses-and-permits.
The “Get Out and Fish!” program to increase the number of people with access to quality fishing. The program intends to recruit new anglers to the sport of fishing and promote outdoor activities for future generations. For more information visit www.wlf.la.gov/gof or email GOF@wlf.la.gov.
Job fair in New Iberia
The City of New Iberia is hosting a job fair on Wednesday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at City Park Cyr-Gates Community Center, 300 Parkview Drive in New Iberia. On-the-spot testing and/or interviews will be held for the following positions:

Teche Center for the Arts upcoming events
The Teche Center for the Arts has three upcoming events.
On Thursday, the center is hosting a live concert featuring Brazos Huval and Mary Harris from 6-8 p.m. at 210 East Bridge St. in Breaux Bridge. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door or online at artsatteche.com.
On April 16, the center is having its Spring Mini Art Camp beginning at 9 a.m. Children in grades 1-6 are welcome. Camp costs $40 and registration can be done at the art center’s website.
Also on April 16, the center is partnering with the City of Breaux Bridge to host a Community Easter Egg Hunt from 1-3:30 p.m. at Parc Hardy, 1290 Rees St. in Breaux Bridge. Children ages 4-11 are invited to participate. There is no entry fee but registration is available at artsatteche.com.
