New Iberia police have recalled warrants against a woman relating to the attempted murder case at a local restaurant, clearing her of “any wrongdoing,” according to an update from the New Iberia Police Department on Facebook on Wednesday.

Police said in the social media post that after reviewing new footage of the incident “frame by frame,” they determined Taylin McCoy’s involvement was not criminal, but rather “attempting to separate the individuals involved.” Police said detectives were continuing to investigate when they received the new video footage.

“In light of this new evidence, Detectives submitted the information, and the warrant has been recalled,” the New Iberia police said in the Facebook post. “Again, Taylin McCoy has been cleared of any wrongdoing in this incident. Detectives are continuing this investigation and as new information comes to light, it will be released to the public.”

On Tuesday evening, police also announced on Facebook the arrest of Kayla Warner. Warner, 31, of New Iberia, was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, criminal conspiracy, and inciting a felony.

Police continue to search for 29-year-old Leotia Davis and 31-year-old Leetra Davis. Both are also wanted on charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and criminal conspiracy.
