St. Francis Diner to open June 1

St. Francis Diner will be serving meals Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. beginning June 1. Meals will continue to be served until July 29, except on July 4.

In March, the diner reportedly served 1,879 adults and 89 children. The diner is a community-based organization that provides free meals to those in need.

Anyone interested in contributing to the diner can contribute paper towels, to-go plates, plastic forks, food, and monetary donations.

The diner is located at 1201 S. Hopkins St. in New Iberia.

Bridge Lessons

New Iberia Recreation Department is offering Bridge Lessons for ages 13 and

older. The cost is $12 per lesson. The lessons will take place on Mondays

9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Old Fire Station at City Park from June 6 to
