Carol J. Desormeaux

Funeral services will be conducted for Carol J Desormeaux, 88, at noon on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at David Funeral Home Chapel. A private inurement will be at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Carol J Desormeaux passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his residence in New Iberia.

Carol worked in the oil and gas drilling industry for 50 plus years.

Carol is survived by his son John “Kent” Desormeaux (Melissa); grandchildren John “Cy” Desormeaux, Kenny “Mooney” Barras (Amanda), Chris Desormeaux, Kyle Desormeaux, Megan Mendoza, Jennifer Desormeaux, Maxine Aguilar and Reggie Desormeaux; and great-grandchildren Dylan Barras and Alex Barras.

Carol was preceded in death by his wife Patty Peloquin Desormeaux; parents Adam and Edie Vice Desormeaux; two sons, Quintin Jude Desormeaux and Jerome Kevin Desormeaux; three brothers, Bill Desormeaux Sr., Jim Desormeaux and Adam Desormeaux Jr.; and one sister Kelly Louviere.
