As hard as it is to find any bright spots in the news these days, I thought I’d give it a try anyway.

The ‘Greater Acadiana Area’ is being recognized as one of the most affordable regions in Louisiana and, not surprising to me, one of the happiest. Surely it is because these two go hand and hand and support the other.

One source of the good feelings among the majority of the people, besides the good nature of the people themselves, is they look forward to the changes they expect from a realigned government in Washington early next year. Hopefully the winds of change will keep blowing in the same direction we are witnessing and we will once again head in the right direction.

Finally, even the weather seems to be reflecting our good fortune. It has shined on our many festivals with hurricane and even rain free, mild and sunny days

Add all this up and it appears that someone ‘owed us one’ for putting up with all that other stuff for as long as we have.
