The weather was perfect but the costumes and float were better during the New Iberia Halloween Parade on Saturday.
Families lined each side of Main Street to watch the procession pass through, and many were wearing their own costumes to the delight of those in the parade.
In its second year, the event grew.
To capture the Halloween spooky season look, Mayor Freddie DeCourt turned the fountain at the center black at the New Iberia Civic Center.
There were vendors, plenty of candy and live music in downtown New Iberia. After the parade, Chee-Weez performed at Bouligny Plaza in the Steamboat Warehouse Pavilion.
