New Iberia couple eases pain for Port Arthur family during dog’s passing

Thank you for accepting my letter of appreciation for one of New Iberia’s own.
A dear friend of mine provided life-long care for our dog, Bear (rescue Labrador mix). Several months ago, we knew Bear was on her last days. So, she received the loving care she needed until her final day.
Yesterday, my friend went beyond the call of duty. After normal work hours, he and his wife drove from New Iberia to Port Allen and provided the hospice care Bear needed. With his tender understanding, Bear passed at about 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 15.
Please know, Bear did not like the clinic, and I did not want her last moments to be fearful. So yesterday morning, I called Eric, let him know, and he said, “I will be there at 7 tonight.” Marilyn and Eric came to our home and gently freed Bear of her ailments.
With loving appreciation to my friends, thank you Dr. Eric and Ms. Marilyn White.
