COA Christmas Luncheon to be held

The St. Martin Council on Aging will host its annual Christmas Luncheon on December 13 at the Cade Community Center, located at 1688 Smede Highway, St. Martinville.

The event, sponsored by Sheriff Becket Breaux and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff Department, will begin at 9 a.m. (doors open at 8 a.m.).

There will be a light continental breakfast, lots of door prizes, and a lunch consisting of gumbo. Attendees can also look forward to playing bingo and receiving valuable information from various healthcare agencies.

There will be a surprise visit from Santa and musical entertainment. A photo booth will also be available for anyone interested in capturing the moment. In addition, Senior Medicare Patrol will be available to respond to any questions regarding open enrollment.

This is a non-alcohol event. Registration is open to the first 300 seniors who reside in St. Martin Parish. Transportation will be provided. Rides must be scheduled two days in advance. Contact the Council on Aging at (337) 332-3063 to register or to receive more information.
