Julia Mary Nelson Singleton, 81, a resident of Morgan City, passed away at 10:39 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at her residence.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held in the Union Bethel Cemetery in Amelia.

Julia leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Mrs. Kennry (Hattie) Martin of New Iberia and Agnes M. Dalcour of Lafayette; a brother Ervin J. Mitchell of New Iberia: an aunt Joyce R. Vallot of New Iberia; two godchildren; sisters-in-law Jackie (Joseph) Jones of Morgan City and Dr. Virginia (Troy) Alfred of Baton Rouge; two brothers-in-law, Anthony Singleton and Lionel (Vera) Singleton Sr. both of Morgan City; a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, her husband, a daughter, a sister, brother and five uncles.
